Enhancements Added

1200 Maximum Symbols in Portfolio

By squeezing a few things here and there, we were able to extend the maximum number of symbols in a DollarLink portfolio from 1000 to 1200. It is set in Question 20, Part 1 of SETUP.

To use this option effectively, make sure that your PC has at least 600K of the lower 640K of RAM free. It is very important that the lower 640K (as opposed to the extended memory, which your PC may have in abundant amount) is as unoccupied as possible. Your PC's memory manager program -- EMM386.SYS or QEMM386.SYS, for example should be able to take care of that.

Also, if you are getting quotes on stock options and want to increase the number of symbols in the portfolio to 1200, make sure to tell DollarLink to load incoming option quotes into high memory (Question 25, Part 1 of SETUP). This will free up some of the lower 640K RAM. Keep in mind that on the Signal datafeed the receivers can hold no more than 1200 symbols in the user portfolio. (The enhanced Signal receivers can also keep up to 64,000 quotes in a separate instant quotes database, but that's different from the user database.)
