Enhancements Added

Bid/Ask Prices in Hot Quotes

Hot Quotes are the 10 little windows that appear at the bottom of the screen when you are in graphics mode. You can tell DollarLink to display any symbol in one of these hot quotes windows by pressing WH (Windows, Hot Quotes). Hot Quotes can be turned on or off by pressing the Home key while you are in graphics mode. Whenever the datafeed sends a quote for a symbol in a hot quote window, that information is updated in the hot quote.

If the information displayed is too long for the hot quote window, you can toggle between long and short display mode by pressing Alt+V keys. DollarLink will toggle between displaying the name and the hot quote window letter (followed by the price information).

Until now, the information displayed was the latest price and change from yesterday. You can now display bid/ask price information instead of the last price/change information. This should be useful for option traders as well as for short-term stock traders who use bid/ask information as part of their decision-making.

The Alt + V key combination will now rotate between 1) long names and price/change, 2) short names and price/change, 3) long names and bid/ask, and 4) short names and bid/ask. Just keep pressing the Alt + V until the display shows what you need.

Vote For DollarLink!

Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazine has an annual Reader's Choice Awards survey. Readers of the magazine vote for the investment software and datafeeds they prefer. DollarLink has always scored highly in this survey, either winning or placing in its category.

This year, probably due to their sloppiness, DollarLink's name is missing on the voting ballot. The ballot went out to magazine subscribers early this month. What is odd is that DollarLink is listed in the Portfolio Management and Options Analysis categories, but not in its bread-and-butter Real-Time Technical Analysis category.

If you subscribe to this magazine, please fill out the ballot and write in DollarLink in the Professional Platform category (that's where DollarLink was listed last year and where it won honorable mention), as well as in the Software > $500 category.

Please help us correct this (unintentional, we are told) oversight by Stocks & Commodities. Thank you.

Labor Day Holiday

DollarLink Software will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 1996.
