Enhancements Added

Foreign Exchange on BMI Datafeed

We now support Foreign Exchange (Forex) quotes on the Bonneville (BMI) datafeed.

Forex on BMI means cross rates, i.e., one currency in terms of another.

We follow the BMI naming convention: 3-letter abbreviation for the first currency followed by a 3-letter abbreviation for the second currency, followed by a 2-letter suffix representing the time element. The name implies an order: the number of units of second currency to buy one unit of the first currency.

For example, USDCHF$Y represents the (spot quote) number of Swiss Francs to purchase one U.S. dollar. USDJPYSN represents the (spot next day quote) number of Japanese Yen to purchase one U.S. dollar. CHFJPY1W represents the (one week out) number of Japanese Yen to buy one Swiss Franc.

The supported suffixes are:

$Y Spot
ON Overnight
SN Spot Next
TN Tomorrow Night
1W 1 Week
2W 2 Week
3W 3 Week
1M 1 Month
2M 2 Month
3M 3 Month
4M 4 Month
5M 5 Month

You can obtain a detailed list of all supported names from BMI at 800-436-4036.

Forex quotes are sent out by banks throughout the world. The Detailed quote displays the bank name for a Forex symbol. To see a Detailed quote, in text mode put the cursor on a Forex symbol and press D. DollarLink will then display at the top of the page all the information available for that symbol.
